All this happened to fulfill what the LORD had said through the prophet:
“The virgin shall be with child and give birth to a son, and they shall call him Emmanuel,”
A name which means “God is with us.” (Mt. 1: 22-23)
As we celebrate the mystery of the Incarnation, I pray that each of us come to know deeply that Christ is with us in our hopes, joys, struggles and labours.
May God grant us health, hope, peace and, in the year to come, a new courage to proclaim the gospel of life as witnesses to the Redeemer in solidarity for mission to a wounded world!
Христос Раждається! Christ is Born!
With prayerful best wishes for a holy Christmas and a blessed New Year 2017,
Fr. Larry Kondra, C.Ss.R.
